This 6-week hand-built pottery class will focus on building with clay, using different techniques to create functional, decorative works of art that are hand-built off the wheel. Whether you are a beginner learning fundamental slab construction, or a more experienced potter and want to hone your skills, this adult class will will be interactive with suggested projects and opportunities to work independently. This course is designed to have endless possibilities of hand-building with clay such as: slab work, drape techniques, coil building, carving, pinching, relief printing using various materials both natural and man made to create different textures. Come enjoy this rewarding class that has great direction with little rules. Expect to let go of expectations and enjoy the process.
Class size max 10 students
What is included:
25 lbs. of clay, firing fee and glazes.
