Calling all jewelry makers, bead enthusiasts, weavers, and textile creators. This is our introductory workshop for Bead and button making hand made from Clay! We are calling it a “supply” themed workshop because it’s a great opportunity to make beads to embellish textile creations, stand alone for statement pieces, future jewelry creating and inspiration. Consider it making your own creative supplies.
As a bonus, we will first make a clay pinch pot to hold your creations, then spend the time forming various beads and or buttons with texture, using different techniques with both simplicity and fine detail. You will also be hand painting your beads and pinch pot with underglazes or keep bare perhaps, (which the studio will then low fire, and high fire to be returned at a further date built into price).
Each student should expect to make a pinch pot and 20 clay beads. This early evening/late afternoon 2 hour workshop is quality time well spent! A great opportunity to gather as a group or learn something new on your own. Food and beverage encouraged but we will also have snacks. Come play with clay!
